Gynaecological Cancer Award – Cancer Australia 2014

6 years ago I was presented with the Cancer Australia Award for Gynaecological cancers. Cancer Australia are putting a call out for other gynaecological cancer health consumers to apply. https://canceraustralia.gov.au/…/2014-jeannie-ferris-cancer…

Soroptimist International Convention 2019 Gynaecological awareness

What an opportunity to share my 25 years of lobbying for community Gynaecological health awareness. Cant say I wasn’t nervous to present to 1,000 women at this Soroptimist International convention however I cannot thank Robyn Cain and the President of Soroptimist International Anusha Santhirasthipam for believing in my work. This then led to an Undies for Better Understanding cardboard cut out undies workshop Dare to be Gynae Aware to South West Pacific Soroptimist Clubs to encourage them to start the conversations.

Quinns Rock Senior Citizens Club created for the International Gynaecological Awareness Day.  This was displayed at Clarkson Library on IGAD.  The interest was amazing with many questions asked. “Keep up the good work. We, the ladies from the Indoor Bowling Club at Quinns Rocks, were thrilled to be a part of your special invitation to create more community awareness”

Zonta Dinner 2019 presentation

As recipient of Zonta Women of Achievement Award 2005 and receiving great support from Zonta over the years it was great to see other leaders standing up and sharing the importance of gynaecological health at my presentation at this Zonta dinner, below is their response.  I look forward to see progress in the global community.

Zonta Club of Perth Northern Suburbs Inc
At our Club dinner on Wednesday night, our guest speaker, Kath Mazzella OAM, spoke on a very interesting topic “Up Front & Personnel” on gynaecological health. Women’s gynaecological health should be discussed as an awareness sake for other women and that we should not be afraid or ashamed to talk about.

You can learn more about her desire to speak up for the millions of voiceless women, the ones who suffer in silence with Endometriosis, Polycystic Ovaries, Fibroids, GYN Cancers, Infertility, Prolapse Uterus, and so many more Gynaecological and Sexual Health conditions through this link: https://www.kathmazzella.com/

6PR Radio interview with Chris Ilsley – breaking taboos GYN health

Its taboo —— What can we dooo. Open conversations too.

I was so fortunate to find a radio personality who seemed to really hit the nail on the head with this interview about the taboos surrounding Gynaecological health awareness flash mob photo shoot. Photos still not in from photographer. It was great to see those attend to support the cause.

I love turning on lights for those who are ready to receive this message. Thanks Chris for your wonderful open conversations. I hope you gained a lot from it. https://www.fonodio.com/share/wp8zoxm80r7bqjnl/y068w3eq44o3zpa4/eplvjmdp9kjm9x75
